Christmas holiday drama course

with Best Shot Youth Theatre

2003 / 2004
The Three Musketeers - Le Panteau!
for students aged 12 and upwards - no upper limit

26 students participated in this production.

The audience was the largest we have had and they hugely enjoyed, and participated in, the show
- lots of hissing and booing.

PHOTOGRAPHS are in the Portfolio

And now for something completely different!

Alexander Dumas' rip-roaring yarn of derring-do, palace intrigue and slushy amour transplanted into panto-land. Here we find those famous swashbucklers, Porthos, Aramis, Athos and D'Atagnan re-cast as a bevy of roistering, thigh-slapping lovelies - Principal Garcons par excellence! There is also the despicable Cardinal Richeleeugh, his debauched sidekick Le Chevalier Du Lobster Roquefort, a clutch of other (eminently hissable) villains, a giant snail, audience participation and loads of wicked jokes (many at the expense of our dear, dear, neighbours, the French!) - all the elements, in fact, of a panteau cordon bleu
